Introduction
Welcome to the Intermediate Piano Lessons Section!
Once you have an understanding of the concepts taught in the beginner piano lessons section, then you are ready to start building on those concepts here! You will be learning how to play piano using new chords as well as new rhythmic patterns.
Just as in the beginner piano lessons section, this section also contains five subsections. Below is a list of all the subsections and what you will learn in each.
Learn Songs: Here you will learn three new songs, "America", "Silent Night", and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen". These songs are a little bit more challenging, but you should now be ready for them!
Chords: In this section, you will build on the chords you have learned in the beginner piano lessons section. You will learn about minor chords, which have a sad sound that makes a great contrast to the happy major chords you have learned earlier. Also, you will learn about 7th chords, which are four note chords that will give an added richness to your harmonies!
Music Theory: In this section, you will learn about the natural minor scale. This scale has a sad tone that can be used to create sad sounding songs.
Improvisation: Build on the patterns that you have learned in the beginner piano lessons section. These patterns can be used to further liven up the songs that you are currently learning! They are a bit more challenging, but you are definitely ready to learn them!
Technique: Learn more fun patterns you can play that sound really cool and will help you further develop your hand coordination!
