Improvisation

Introduction

Welcome to the Improvisation Section for Intermediate Students!

As you learned in the improvisation section for beginner students, improvisation is the ability to make up music as you are performing it. Much of improvisation is learning patterns which you can then apply to songs you are performing.

In this section, you will learn more complicated improvisation techniques that require greater movement and range from your fingers and hands. The improvisation techniques you will be learning are in the lessons "Melody as Octaves", "Root Chord Pattern", and "Adding Harmony Notes in the Right Hand". Below is a description of each.

Lesson # Title Description
Lesson 34 Melody as Octaves
Lesson 35 Root Chord Pattern
Lesson 36 Adding Harmony Notes in the Right Hand
