In this lesson, you will learn about the minor 7th chord. The minor 7th chord is basically a minor chord with one extra note added, the minor 7th. When you see a minor chord in songs, you can try substituting it with a minor 7th chord instead.

Playing the minor 7th chord is easy. Just play a minor chord, and add a note that is an interval of a minor 7th from the root note of the chord. Another way to think about it is by using a formula of half steps. Below is the formula for the minor 7th chord.
