\n “Canon in D<\/strong>” is one of the most famous pieces of classical music, composed by German composer Johann Pachelbel around 1680. It is a baroque composition known for its elegant and repetitive structure. The piece is written for three violins and basso continuo, featuring a melody that is played in a canon (where the same melody is repeated by different voices at staggered intervals) over a simple, repeating bass line.
