Beautiful and talented 19-year old Taylor Swift is an American country and pop singer as well as a songwriter.
Born on December 13, 1989, to a stock broker and a homemaker, Taylor Swift has one younger brother named Austin. As a fourth grader, Swift wrote a poem called, Monster in My Closet; and won her in the national poetry contest. She then started to write songs and sing in many contests in and around her hometown of Wyomissing in Pennsylvania.
Swift was also a member of inspired kids sketch comedy group organized by Kirk Cremer. His mother noticed that Swift has a lot of natural talents in music while performing her usual karaoke singing. She suggested that Swift might want to pursue a career as a country singer. Cremer then found a space for Swift to perform the country songs with karaoke. Swift became very popular in her open microphone and karaoke singing. When Swift performed at the Bloomsburg Fair, it was her first big show and she audiences love her.

In 2006, Swift finally released her first single titled, Tim McGraw. It soon reached No. 6 on the Billboard’s chart of Hot Country Songs. Her singing also touched LeAnn Rimes and her own grandmother who used to be an opera singer. Swift has credited Shania Twain as one of her inspiration in stretching the boundaries (as Shania is the first to incorporate rock intothe country music). She is also the youngest singer in the history of country songs, to make the appearance as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
